About Dr Anuja Ghate, PT, DPT

I believe physical therapy isn’t just about overcoming an injury; it’s about improved wellness. That mentality has guided my practice as both a physical therapist and performance coach.
I treat wellness as a continuum, which may start with healing an injury, but also includes getting stronger to ward off the next one. I want you to feel better and perform better than you ever thought was possible again.

Many of my patients start rehabbing an injury, but continue with me as we progress along the wellness continuum toward healthier lifestyles.
Together, we can build a comprehensive rehabilitation and performance program that helps you reach your full potential - whether it’s related to regaining movement, reclaiming your quality of life, or improving your performance on the field.

A former competitive gymnast, I worked as a personal trainer for over a decade following my undergraduate studies at Penn State University. I went on to receive my Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Mercy College and have since worked in New York City with a focus on orthopedic, neurological, and pre/postnatal health.​

My Vision
Rehabilitation and fitness are not mutually exclusive.
Regardless of the injury or issue you bring to me, I want you to leave more confident in your everyday lives and sports.
For that reason, I focus on optimizing that healthy feeling – whether you are recently injured, coming back from an injury, trying to upgrade your athletic performance, or maintaining your wellness and independence at an older age.

Our Process

Evaluation/Assessment
We will begin our first appointment by discussing the issue that brings you to us and establishing your goals. We will then perform an objective screening to better understand your underlying problems.

Crafting a Treatment Plan
We will create a treatment plan to address your injury/condition(s) and discuss with you what it will take to achieve your goals.
03
Execute the Plan & Monitor Progress
As you go through the rehabilitation process, together we will make adjustments as needed to ensure we are on-track to reach your goals.
